Liven up that same old salad by layering fresh ingredients into a Mason jar. Perfect for a summer party or grab-and-go lunch.  4-5 salad jars can be made on the weekend and then taking for lunch throughout the week. The recipes have non-fat salad dressings and are diabetic friendly.
The salad jars can be easy to transport in a cooler so this is a great way to take a salad on a picnic or to a family gathering. All you need to do to serve a larger salad is dump the salad jars into a larger bowl and stir the salad. Start with a couple of jars of salad in the bowl and then as the salad is taken more salad can be added to the bowl. Any left over salad jars can be taken home in the jars to be eaten instead of throwing away the wilted left over salad.
The Salads in a Jar instructions and recipes are posted in a series of lessons. The webpages are titled by the type of meat that is good in the recipe but the meats can be eliminated from all recipes.

This healthy low fat salad is bottled and can be stored on the shelf for 3-4 years. You can quickly grab the pint bottle and serve a side dish for 4 people. With the salad being bottled it is portable and can be taken on a picnic or camping. I keep a bottle at work so I’ll have something to eat when I can’t get a break for lunch. It’s awesome!
