Jalapeno Jelly is a wonderful gift to make and give your family, friends and neighbors. You might find this Jelly to purchase but it costs $6-$10 per bottle. The cost to make it yourself is $2-$3. It is a great gift to make in the fall when the vegetables are cheaper and then you have this gift finished months before Christmas. Most people like to serve it on cream cheese and crackers when they have a holiday party. In the printable file below is a list of ideas of how to serve the jelly. When I give these bottles as a gift I print off the list and give it with the jar.
Jalapeno Jelly
6 jalapeno peppers
2 medium bell peppers
1 1/2 cup cider vinegar
5 1/2 cups sugar
6 oz box liquid pectin
Note: throw away rubber gloves and wash all the items used to remove the seeds and stems from the jalapeno peppers. Make sure to wash your hands and do not touch face.
Makes 6-7 1/2 pint jars
